Edgard Ngaboyamahina

Edgard Ngaboyamahina serves as the Operational Excellence Lead with the Innovation Advisors, a business unit of RTI International. Edgard is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Human-Centered Design Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the development and transfer of environmental technologies with a deep expertise in waste management (including water, sanitation, and hygiene), international development, materials science and engineering, and entrepreneurship. As an Innovation Advisor, Edgard leads and manages sustainability-focused projects from initiation to close for S&P 500, MedTech, Clean Tech, CPG, and Philanthropic clients. Edgard’s teams provide eye-opening insights to clients by helping them to see their businesses in a new light and identify strategic opportunities for improvement. Prior to joining RTI, Edgard was a Principal Investigator at Duke University where he managed projects and led stakeholder engagement in USA, India, and Africa. In particular, he led the development, pilot, and transfer of an onsite disposal technology for menstrual products to support healthy hygiene and help divert plastic waste from the environment. Edgard has previously advised Électricité de France (EDF) on the Energy Efficiency Credit policy and its impact on the primary and tertiary sectors. Early in his career, he worked as an Engineer at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) where he supported IP transfer to industry partners.
