Ellie Bidwell

As the Energy and Climate lead at Harrison Street, Ellie Bidwell contributes to the Firm’s strategy on climate risk management, decarbonization, and ESG reporting for investment entities. She also leads the development and implementation of portfolio and asset-level initiatives, such as community solar, in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Before joining Harrison Street, Ellie was a civil engineer at a sustainability consultancy where she developed and managed energy, climate, and resiliency planning projects. She brings additional experience in green building design and certification management, stakeholder engagement, and academic research related to water equity and governance.

Ellie has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering & International Engineering from Colorado State University and a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and Bernese Mountain dog.
