Emily Urban Cordeiro

Dr. Emily Urban Cordeiro serves at the Technical Director, Sustainability at FoodChain ID, a global certification and verification company with over 25 years of experience in the sustainability space. She leads the global sustainability technical portfolio, including net zero, sustainable sourcing, carbon credit, and/or regenerative agriculture initiatives.

As a PhD soil scientist by training (Cornell University), she has expertise in utilizing various digital tools and algorithms to measure and predict sustainability outcomes in agricultural systems, both at farm and regional scales. She is passionate about the role agriculture has in addressing our current and future climate change challenges, as well as other environmental concerns related to water quality, biodiversity, and air quality.
