Bezos Earth Fund
Eric Wilburn is the Program Officer for Nature Finance at the Bezos Earth Fund working to internalize the value of nature within our economic and financial systems. Prior to joining the Earth Fund, he ran an independent consultancy advising philanthropies, companies, and financial institutions on strategies to scale investment in nature. His earlier work focused on community-driven conservation and business model innovation across Sub-Saharan Africa, including roles as Director of Programs at the Legado Initiative, Head of Business Development at Gorongosa National Park, and Head of Product at Earthshot Labs.
Eric holds master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering and Public Policy from Stanford University and writes Where Nature Meets Climate, a Substack exploring how to integrate ecological, economic and sociocultural systems for a more sustainable and equitable future.
