Gavin McCormick is Executive Director of WattTime, a tech nonprofit that develops and shares data-driven techniques to lower emissions. Over 1 billion devices worldwide—including smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, phones, solar panels, wind turbines, and others—currently use WattTime technology.
Gavin also cofounded and coordinates Climate TRACE, a coalition of over 100 nonprofits, universities, and tech companies using satellites and AI to monitor the largest 600 million sources of emissions worldwide. His work has been featured in Forbes, TIME, CNN, Politico, The New York Times, the Atlantic, The Economist, Vox, and Grist.
