Ikarus Janzen is the Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Varaha, the leading carbon removal company in Asia. He leads all commercial efforts, including project financing, marketing, sales, and equity fundraising. Under his leadership, Varaha secured the largest biochar deal globally with Google and developed key partnerships with leading intermediaries. Before Varaha, he launched one of the first climate tech venture capital funds, investing in transformative startups across energy, mobility, fintech, and carbon markets. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration & Electrical Energy Technology from RWTH Aachen University.
