Isabelle Schuhmann
Global Director, Environmental Sustainability
McKinsey
As Global Director of Environmental Sustainability, Isabelle leads McKinsey’s own sustainability efforts. McKinsey has set a 2050 SBTi aligned net zero target and is taking decisive near-term action with defined 2025 and 2030 interim targets across emission reduction as well as sustainable aviation fuel and durable carbon removal purchases. In 2023, McKinsey implemented an internal carbon fee of $50/t on all air travel emissions, which represents ~75-80% of emissions.
Isabelle was born and raised in Germany with a background in Psychology and Economics. Her first job out of undergrad was as a McKinsey Business Analyst 12 years ago! In her free time, Isabelle can be found outdoors – hiking, skiing, road biking and more – with or without her two little kids!
