3Degrees
As a Senior Manager in 3Degrees’ Climate Strategy practice, Jacob Isaacson advises corporate clients across a wide range of industries to enable them to take urgent action on climate change. Jacob’s expertise is centered on market-based mechanisms including carbon credits, low-carbon commodity certificates, and energy attribute certificates, with some of his most notable accomplishments including founding the Low Carbon Fertilizer Alliance, developing a methodology for accounting for direct procurement of clean electricity attributes to address scope 3 emissions, designing a credible carbon credit strategy for a major energy company, creating a renewable diesel book-and-claim playbook for a Fortune 100 organization, and advising on the development of a carbon credit methodology. Prior to joining 3Degrees, Jacob established the first registry-certified carbon offset project for row-crop agriculture in the US, setting the benchmark for climate integrity in a nascent space.
