Jamil Wyne is an advisor, author, investor and educator working on climate technology and investment around the world. He is the founder of the Hazelwood Network (formerly Riffle Ventures), the founder of Climate Tech Bootcamp and the founder of the Wamda Research Lab. He was also the lead author of the Climate Tech Opportunity, a global study from the Said Business School at Oxford University, and has a Linkedin Learning course – Climate Technology for Business Resilience. He is an investor in early-stage climate tech startups, and has also worked with the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, USAID, the Development Finance Corporation, the World Wildlife Fund, UNICEF, ClimateWorks Foundation, the Environmental Defense Fund and multiple national governments on climate technology and investment projects, and has taught climate change at George Washington University. The programs he has led and co-led have trained and mentored over 250 climate innovators from over 25 countries, many of which have also partnered with leading global funds and accelerators such Lowercarbon Capital, Deep Science Ventures, Third Sphere, Greentown Labs, Elemental Impact, Antler and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator. His work has been funded by private foundations, bilateral agencies, family offices and corporate philanthropies. He has spoken at COP28 (UAE) and COP16 (Saudi Arabia), has presented on climate change to boards, governments, universities and funds and contributed chapters to multiple books on climate, entrepreneurship and innovation. He is a Forbes contributor focusing on climate change and his work has been featured in Stanford, Brookings, McKinsey, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, CNN, World Bank, and WEF publications, among others. He has an MBA from INSEAD, an MA from Johns Hopkins School of International Studies, and a BA from Bowdoin College. He has been a Fulbright, New American and Truman Fellow and resides in Washington DC.
