
Jeffrey Hogue
During his tenure, Hogue has overseen the development of the company’s first comprehensive sustainability framework and inaugural sustainability reports. His team supported the launch of notable products such as the Levi’s® Plant-Based 501® and Levi’s® Circular 501®, as well as spearheading the global campaign “Buy Better. Wear Longer.” His work reflects a commitment to balancing innovation with practical strategies for reducing resource consumption and promoting sustainable practices across the company’s value chain.
Prior to Levi Strauss & Co., Hogue served as Chief Sustainability Officer at C&A, a global fashion retailer operating in 20 countries. At C&A, he co-founded Fashion for Good, a collaborative initiative focused on advancing sustainable innovation in fashion. He also led initiatives that positioned C&A as the world’s largest user of certified organic cotton, developed Cradle to Cradle™ GOLD-certified products, and drove transparency efforts to build trust with stakeholders.
Hogue’s career includes leadership roles at McDonald’s, where he directed the company’s first global sustainability strategy, and at Danisco A/S and Genencor International, where he led sustainability and regulatory integration during its transition into DuPont. His ability to lead sustainability efforts across diverse industries—from food to fashion—demonstrates his adaptable and strategic approach to driving long-term change.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Hogue has held board positions with influential organizations, including Fashion for Good, the Sun Valley Institute, and the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute. These roles highlight his ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in sustainability across industries.
