Green Building Initiative
Jenna Middaugh is the Chief Operating Officer of the Green Building Initiative (GBI), a nonprofit organization that develops ANSI standards, provides education and credentialing, and delivers the Green Globes® and Journey to Net Zero™ building certification programs. Through its mission to improve the built environment’s impact on climate and society, GBI has certified over 750 million square feet of space in North America and is expanding globally.
As COO, Middaugh oversees GBI’s day-to-day operations, leads its senior team, and supports the CEO in governance and strategic planning. Prior to joining GBI as a project manager in 2011, she gained experience in operations and IT management while working in international education. She holds a BA from Arizona State University in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Anthropology and Geography, and she has earned the Institute for Organization Management (IOM) designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Middaugh lives in Phoenix, Arizona and is an avid traveler who has worked and studied in France and Spain.
