John is a Partner/Principal focusing on sustainability advisory across the government and public sector, private equity, and infrastructure sectors. He brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainable infrastructure and ESG / impact investing and is a specialist in infrastructure policy and public-private partnerships (PPPs). He advises on corporate governance, sustainability strategies, responsible investing, ESG due diligence, and ESG risk management.
Previously he was a Vice President at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility) where he led the global infrastructure and financial services business group (i.e., energy, extractives, industrials, transportation, banking, private equity, and asset management) and was the senior executive based in BSR’s New York office. John was also the founder and President of SunOne Solutions, a leading land conservation and carbon offset project developer. He has also worked at the World Bank where he served as an Infrastructure Specialist in the Europe and Central Asia Group, the East Asia Group, and Infrastructure PPP Department. In addition, he’s had various articles published by The World Bank and BSR and in The Guardian, Bloomberg, GreenBiz, Green Money, TriplePundit, and Responsible Investor.
