John Perkins

John Perkins is the director of Global Engineering for Amazon Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging. In this role, he has leadership responsibility for the company’s packaging materials, packaging design and global automation engineering; this includes the development of new packaging substrates, labels and adhesives, new packaging structures and the development of automation to support packaging, labeling and sortation for the company.

Prior to joining Amazon in 2024, John began his career with WestRock in 1991 and held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, sales and marketing, including vice president Strategic Customer Partnerships, worldwide Business Development and vice president, Beauty & Personal Care. His prior position with WestRock was as vice president of Global Machinery & Automation.
