Jon Powell

Jon is a tech leader, 4x founder and impact investor who has spent his 20+ year career driving positive environmental outcomes with his own advisory firms, tech companies and innovative organizations including Closed Loop Partners and Salesforce. He’s Founder and CEO of Apex Catalytic, which provides data, software, and expert advisory to leading corporates and investment funds on frontier sustainability challenges with a focus on R&D; tech solutions for emerging environmental challenges; building and enhancing circular supply chains for a range of materials; incorporating AI, including Generative, to accelerate positive environmental outcomes; and more. He earned his Ph.D. at Yale University and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Florida. He is based in Chicago.
