Josiane brings two decades of experience at the intersection of business and biodiversity, having led and supported the implementation of hundreds of conservation initiatives on private lands across ten countries. Her professional focus areas include quantification of nature-related impacts, change management in rapidly evolving contexts, and connecting climate and community objectives to nature. In her current role at Freeport-McMoRan, Josiane leads the global nature strategy in addition to playing an active role in broadly catalyzing engagement in nature, from collaborating with suppliers, trade associations, and peers across sectors, to exchanging knowledge, data, and experiences with a range of stakeholders. She previously occupied the role of COO and Innovation Lead for at Tandem Global and currently serves on the Arizona Sustainability Alliance’s board of directors while chairing the ICMM Nature Working Group. Josiane holds a BSc in biological sciences from the Université du Québec a Montréal and an MBA from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
