Josiane is a seasoned expert with two decades of experience at the nexus of business and biodiversity. She has spearheaded the development of hundreds of conservation initiatives on private lands across ten countries. Her expertise spans the quantification of nature-related impacts, change management in dynamic environments, and integration of climate and community goals within nature transition plans.
In her current role at Freeport-McMoRan, Josiane leads the global nature strategy and drives engagement with suppliers, trade associations, stakeholders, and peers across various sectors to catalyze timely nature actions.
Previously, Josiane served as COO and Innovation Lead at Tandem Global. She is a dedicated member of the Arizona Sustainability Alliance’s board of directors, chairs the ICMM Nature Working Group, and also serves as a Guidance Committee member to the US, Canada, and Mexico Biodiversity and Climate Change Assessment.
Josiane holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal and an MBA from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
