She brings over a decade of experience in global data center and IT sustainability, with a focus on using technology and innovation to solve environmental and social challenges while driving operational excellence.

Her career spans impactful work at Google, where she served as the Global Lead for Data Center Sustainability. There, she led initiatives in carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, energy efficiency, healthy materials, and waste and water reduction—developing an internal rating system that supported a data center portfolio that grew by over 1 GW during her tenure.
Earlier in her career, Joyce founded and ran Stanford University’s Sustainable IT initiative that led to the construction of the Stanford Research Computing Facility (SRCF), its first liquid-cooled data center for high performance computing.
