Julia has over twenty years of experience leading environmental, business, and community initiatives across the West. She excels at fostering collaboration among diverse and unlikely partners for lasting results. At Green Diamond Resource Company, she heads the public affairs team, focusing on natural resource policy, stakeholder relations, forest certification, community giving, and sustainability strategy.
Before joining Green Diamond, she served in leadership capacities with Manulife Timberland and Agriculture, Micron Technology, and the City of Boise. Additionally, she has co-founded several initiatives including the Idaho Coalition of Land Trusts, the Boise River Wildlife Linkage Project, and, most recently, the Boise Nice Project.
Julia holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri; a dual master’s in forestry and environmental management from Duke University and a badge from Boise State University’s Venture College (entrepreneurial program). She, her husband and their four “free range” children have called Idaho home for 25 years.
