Vice-President for South America (2008-2012) of the IUCN World Commission on Protected
Areas and subsequently appointed as Deputy Chair of the Commission until September
2021.
Professor of Environmental Law of the Universidades Javeriana, Externado de Colombia
and Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario with the respective Departments of
Environmental Law as a professor of the subject of Protected Areas and Territorial Planning.
In 2022 elected as a Congress woman to the House of Representatives (2022-2026).
