Law at the Externado de Colombia University.

Head of National Parks of Colombia (January 2004 to December 2020).

Head of the Environmental Authority of Bogotá ( 2001 and 2003).

Head of the Environmental Advisory Office of the Urban Development Institute of Bogotá

(1999-2001).

Vice-President for South America (2008-2012) of the IUCN World Commission on Protected

Areas and subsequently appointed as Deputy Chair of the Commission until September

2021.

Professor of Environmental Law of the Universidades Javeriana, Externado de Colombia

and Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario with the respective Departments of

Environmental Law as a professor of the subject of Protected Areas and Territorial Planning.

In 2022 elected as a Congress woman to the House of Representatives (2022-2026).
