Karen Fayad is a Senior Carbon Advisor at ENGIE Impact, where she leads greenhouse gas inventory development and emissions analysis for global clients across packaging, transportation, retail, and financial sectors. With a background in carbon accounting, Karen helps organizations quantify and reduce their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, align with frameworks such as TCFD, CDP, and PCAF, and meet emerging regulatory requirements like California’s SB 253 and SB 261. Her work enables companies to publish accurate emissions data and better understand high energy-intensive sites across their operations. Leveraging her expertise in sustainability and carbon management, Karen helps organizations strengthen their energy and emissions strategies and renewable energy initiatives. Her work bridges deep technical expertise with actionable insight, empowering Fortune 500 companies to turn climate ambition into real, measurable impact. Prior to her work at ENGIE Impact, Karen gained cross-industry experience in the textile, educational and software sectors. As an environmental and Industrial engineer with a background in public policy, she combines technical expertise with a systems-level understanding of how organizations can drive meaningful climate action while staying on top of the latest regulations. Beyond her client work, she leads Ellxvate, ENGIE Impact’s global ERG for women, fostering mentorship, inclusion, and community across offices worldwide.
