Kevin Russell

Kevin Russell is a Senior Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) and an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in the Raleigh-Durham office. He has been with McKinsey for over ten years and leads MGI research on company dynamics of today’s fastest growing industries, the role of AI in growth and competition, and the impact of companies on sustainable and inclusive growth. He has also led MGI work on productivity growth in Southeast Asia and Latin America. Prior to MGI he served McKinsey clients in Southeast Asia as a consultant, primarily in banking and utilities. Before joining McKinsey in 2015 he received a PhD in political science from Yale University, a masters in public policy from Johns Hopkins University, and a masters in physics from Sydney University and worked for five years in the public sector.
