Kristen Titus

CEO
Titus Group
Kristen Titus is the CEO of Titus Group, advising clients at the intersection of public, private and philanthropic sectors. She is the former head of global philanthropy at Cognizant, a Fortune 200 technology company, and the founding Executive Director of the Cognizant Foundation, a $100 million portfolio designed to advance technology education, workforce and policy in five global markets alongside the company’s C-Suite and 340,000 employees.

Previously, Kristen served as the Chief Technology & Innovation Officer of New York and the founding Executive Director of Girls Who Code and the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline. As New York’s first CTIO, Kristen led the state’s digital and tech policy portfolios, where she oversaw historic investments in technology education, workforce, and economic development. In NYC, Kristen launched the Mayor’s signature Tech Talent Pipeline initiative to grow the City’s tech sector, mobilizing 150 executives in support of first-of-its-kind policy and programming. Her work served as a model for President Obama’s TechHire and CSforAll initiatives, now replicated in 75+ cities. Previously, Kristen was the founding Executive Director of Girls Who Code, where she led the organization from its infancy and built its programming, operations and brand.

Recognizing her work in the field, Kristen was named one of Forbes’ “Women Changing the World,” one of Business Insider’s “Most Influential Women in Tech,” Crain’s New York “Notable Women in Tech,” one of TIME Magazine’s “30 People Under 30 Changing the World,” Fast Company’s “Most Creative People,” and ELLE Magazine’s “11 Women Who Might Just Change the World.” Kristen sits on the board of Work for America, CodePath.org, CODE2040, and Break Through Tech, and is a member of the New York Women’s Forum, an advisor at GlobalGiving, and an Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar.
