Kyra Power is an Engagement Manager, North America at the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a corporate climate action organization that enables companies to set robust and credible greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets through the development of standards, tools and guidance grounded in climate science. As an Engagement Manager, she supports the socialization, adoption and evolution of SBTi’s standards and guidance through targeted stakeholder engagement, partnership development and market insights.
Prior to joining the SBTi, Kyra served as the Sustainability Engagement Manager at Nike, where she oversaw sustainability partnerships and contributed to the development of Nike’s 2030 sustainability goals. Kyra brings this critical corporate perspective to her work with the SBTi, balancing pragmatism with a deep commitment to the realization of net-zero targets.
Kyra began her career in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, working with entities such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to accelerate clean energy adoption through innovative financing mechanisms.
When she is not working, she enjoys getting out in the many spectacular wild places near her home in Gig Harbor, WA.
