As Director of Offtake, Luke Hawbaker leads Carbon Direct’s engagement with carbon removal buyers on long-term offtake structuring and near-term carbon purchases. Before joining Carbon Direct, Luke built his career in conservation and innovative finance. He worked for The Nature Conservancy for five years in its Chief Conservation Office, helping lead program evaluation around the globe and launching and running a +$30M internal impact fund. After TNC, he worked in forest carbon project development, driving business development and partnerships for Mast Reforestation, a vertically-integrated reforestation company. He graduated from Yale University.
