Maria Arroyo i Bacete

With a foundation in fashion design from the prestigious Royal College of Art, Maria embarked on a dynamic journey within the industry that took her across borders and disciplines. She began her career at Alexander McQueen, honing her skills as a freelance artist before joining the esteemed special projects team.

Eager for new challenges and experiences, Maria seized an opportunity to relocate to Italy, where she immersed herself in the nascent Innovation Hub of Albini Group, ALBINI_next. Over four enriching years immersing in Europe’s leading cotton shirting mill, she dedicated herself to driving implementation of innovation within the textile supply chain, specialising in the realm of processing.

Driven by a passion for pioneering change, Maria then ventured to Amsterdam, where she currently resides and serves as an Innovation Manager for the Processing and Impact Teams at Fashion for Good, an Innovation Platform. In this role, she harnesses her expertise to lead transformative initiatives, connecting those working on sustainable innovation with brands, retailers, manufacturers, and funders to bring new ideas and technologies from niche to norm in the fashion industry.
