Michele Grossman’s career has focused on identifying and reducing the risks of climate change, through work and projects that have a measurable benefit for people and the environment. As Founder and Principal of precautionaryP, she helps businesses with sustainability program development, climate-related compliance reporting and impact reporting, plastic waste reduction, and GHG reduction projects. Previously, she directed ESG strategy for a sustainable investment firm, Equilibrium Capital, and spent 14 years at WM (formerly Waste Management) managing the Fortune 500’s ESG disclosure, developed a net zero SBTi target, built the sustainability program for the WM Phoenix Open, and helped establish the Advisory Services consulting team.
Michele has served on the Board of Directors and as Board Chair of the Council for Responsible Sport, was part of the UNFCCC Sports for Climate Action working groups, and holds a Communications and an Environmental Science degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Concordia University (Montreal), respectively.
