Monica Batchelder

Monica serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), leading the company on its journey to transform its offerings and value chain to deliver more sustainable and responsible technology solutions. Her team guides an enterprise-wide sustainable business strategy spanning social impact, decarbonization, sustainable innovation, product compliance, ESG reporting, and more. Monica also serves as Executive Director and board member of the HPE Foundation.

Prior to her appointment to the role of CSO, Monica held varied roles within the organization and her previous experience includes leading energy management pilots for a major utility and building sustainability strategies and collective impact programs as a consultant in Sydney, Australia. For nearly a decade, she has served as a pro-bono advisor to The MAVEN Project, a 501(c)(3) supporting access to specialty healthcare among diverse and underserved populations. Monica earned her Master’s in Environmental Science and Law from the University of Sydney and her Bachelor’s from Boston College. She currently resides in the Bay Area.
