Pete is the Head of Research at Manifest Climate, where he leads the development of insights and analysis that help organizations navigate the evolving landscape of climate risk and sustainability. He brings over 15 years of experience advising clients on international law and development projects, with a focus on climate change, energy, and infrastructure.
Qualified as a lawyer in both Canada and England & Wales, Pete was previously a partner and Head of Major Projects (Canada) at Baker McKenzie.
He has worked in London, Sydney, Jakarta, Chicago, and now Toronto.
Throughout his career, Pete has acted on high-profile domestic and international initiatives, including the development and commercialization of utility-scale renewable energy facilities, corporate PPAs, sustainable infrastructure, and innovative technologies. In Canada, he has also advised on projects involving Indigenous rights.
Pete’s expertise spans development, M&A, and compliance. He holds a Master of International Law from the University of Sydney and an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University.
