Robert Ott

Robert Ott currently serves as Vice-President of Wholesale Origination for NRG Energy. NRG’s Wholesale Origination Team buys and sells structured capacity and energy products as well as renewable energy products. His team structures retail transactions with C&I customers and focuses on NRG’s Strategic Load Management programs.

Robert has expertise in structuring wholesale energy market transactions, developing clean, distributed energy resource portfolios, procuring renewable energy and structuring sales agreements to C&I customers. He previously served as Vice President of Structured Sales at NRG and started at NRG as Senior Director of Origination more than twelve years ago. Before coming to NRG, Robert was a Senior Project Director at GenOn Energy and Vice-President of Origination at Reliant Energy/ RRI Energy.

Robert graduated from Texas A&M with a Civil Engineering degree, and also has an MBA from the University of Houston.
