Rosemary Cox-Galhotra, Ph.D., joined the Breakthrough Energy Discovery team in 2022. She focuses on the technical and commercialization aspects of early-stage technologies, including support of the startups in the Breakthrough Energy Fellows program.
Prior to joining Breakthrough Energy, Rose worked at Booz Allen Hamilton for nearly 5 years as a technical and commercialization advisor supporting the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). Rose began her career at ExxonMobil as an engineer focused on product and process R&D related to lubricants and asphalt and as a marketing analyst.
Rose earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia, where she was also the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Her doctoral research focused on solid oxide fuel cell materials development and characterization. Rose lives in Northern Virginia with her family.
