Sameer Parvathikar is the Program Director for the RTI Pilot Xcelerator, a program designed and developed to help technology companies scale and derisk industrial innovations. The program aims to support companies advance the technical readiness of innovations by offering engineering expertise, laboratory facilities, and plug-and-play piloting on RTI’s campus in Durham, NC. In addition, innovators can utilize RTI’s broad expertise in advancing commercial readiness through technoeconomic and lifecycle analyses, market intelligence, supply chain development, go-to-market strategy development, customer discovery, and other key steps needed to take innovations to market.
As the Senior Director of Sustainable Energy Solutions at RTI, Sameer is a veteran of technology development and scale-up having shepherded various RTI technologies including flare gas utilization, green ammonia, e-methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technologies through to commercialization. Over the past few years, he has been working with several start-ups to scale and commercialize SAF and other e-fuel production technologies.
After earning his doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), Sameer began his industrial career at Praxair (now Linde) developing new designs for hydrogen and carbon monoxide production plants that have since been commercially deployed.
