Sarah Heard

Sarah Heard is Senior Director, Beyond Carbon at BeZero Carbon, where she works to elevate the importance of sustainable development in the voluntary carbon market. She has over 20 years of experience leading innovative initiatives that align environmental and economic incentives, with a focus on creating new markets. Before BeZero, she worked at The Nature Conservancy for nearly a decade, leading market-based conservation and as a consultant advising on corporate sustainability at Blu Skye and environmental economics at AECOM. Sarah began her career in environmental policy and has a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College and dual Masters in Public Policy and Environmental Planning from the University of California-Berkeley.
