Smita Satiani is the Go to Market Director at Project InnerSpace, an organization dedicated to the exponential growth of geothermal energy. Previously, she spent over six years at X (formerly GoogleX), Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory, working across several deep tech climate and connectivity projects – from sustainable agriculture, to circular economy, to wildfire mitigation technologies.
Before X, Smita spent a decade funding and scaling social impact companies and projects: as the Deputy Director of the White House’s Presidential Innovation Fellows program, The Clinton Foundation and at Ashoka. In 2019, she launched her own climate-friendly business: Alaya Tea, a loose leaf tea company which sourced teas directly from Indian farmers who are pioneering regenerative organic farming at the base of the Himalayas. Her work has been featured at the MIT Media Lab, and in Forbes.com, TechCrunch, and The Wall Street Journal.
