Dr. Tiffani Burt is Sealed Air’s Vice President of Global Food Research & Development. Tiffani has been with the company for 12 years, starting in Research & Development where she led research efforts in microlayering, bioprocessing, sustainable solutions, and front-end innovation. And more recently, in Innovation & Development, her team was responsible for using innovation to create a circular economy for plastic packaging through novel design, enabling recyclability and developing collaboration scenarios across the value chain. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Burt is a dedicated educator who has shaped the minds of aspiring professionals within her role as an industrial advisor within academia. With a commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders, she has mentored and inspired countless students and Sealed Air employees, imparting not only knowledge but also instilling a deep appreciation for critical thinking and lifelong learning.
Beyond her mentoring, Tiffani has been passionate about diversity and inclusion in STEM fields throughout her graduate and industrial career and is an active member of the Global Gender Equity Network (GEN) Steering Committee at Sealed Air. During her spare time, she is an outdoor enthusiast and loves hiking and rock climbing with her family.
