Dr. Tobi Petrocelli is a dynamic leader at Arup, a globally recognized firm renowned for its innovative approach to sustainability and resilience. As Manager of the Sustainable Investment Advisory (SIA) team, Dr. Petrocelli brings extensive expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, analysis, and performance management.

At Arup, Dr. Petrocelli leads multidisciplinary teams dedicated to developing, analyzing, and reporting on ESG performance for clients across the Americas. Her work is pivotal in shaping Arup’s ESG Advisory offering, providing clients with cutting-edge analysis, strategic guidance, and management services to navigate the complexities of ESG best practices. She helps organizations across key sectors—including transportation, energy, water, and property—identify risks and opportunities, with a strong focus on sustainability, resilience, and ESG principles.

Dr. Petrocelli’s role is centered on consulting and advisory excellence. She manages the design and implementation of client sustainability programs, offering thought leadership on ESG governance, change management, and organizational systems. She leads teams in conducting materiality and double materiality assessments for companies, including those subject to the latest compliance requirements such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). With a deep understanding of evolving ESG frameworks and regulations—including CSRD, ISSB S-1 and S-2, GRI, and SASB—Dr. Petrocelli advises clients on reporting strategies, disclosures, and communications. She also assesses and builds internal skills and capacity to meet growing client and regulatory demands. She undertakes technical due diligence for investors and lenders, focusing on environmental and social factors and compliance with international standards.
