Will Hewes leads water replenishment efforts across Amazon, sourcing and investing in community water projects that build long-term resilience through efforts to restore watersheds, expand access to clean water, and eliminate water waste. He developed and led AWS’s water positive program, which commits Amazon to returning more water to communities than the company uses in data center operations by 2030. Will has worked in finance, policy, and corporate sustainability roles across the water sector for the past two decades. He serves on multiple boards including on the Board of Trustees for the Portland (Maine) Water District and holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA from Brown University.
