ReFED is the leading nonprofit working to reduce the huge amount of food that’s wasted throughout our food system—waste that is valued at $392 billion and that has huge negative impacts on the planet and communities. Food waste is a systemwide problem, so ReFED works with businesses, policymakers, researchers, funders, and more to increase the adoption of food waste solutions. ReFED is an engine for change, known for its deep sector knowledge, broad convening power, and collaboration across supply chains and sectors—serving as a driver and connector for the movement and a central resource on the topic. The good news is that many effective solutions already exist—and that means food waste is a problem that can actually be solved.
