Adam Hammes is a sustainability speaker, author and consultant. He was the first manager of sustainability for Kum & Go, helping them become the only convenience store chain in the world certified in the LEED Volume Program. When he left after three and a half years, they had gone from 2 to over 80 LEED-certified locations, and from 0 to over 100 locations having at-the-pump recycling for customers.Adam founded two organizations, Urban Ambassadors and the Iowa Sustainable Business Forum. He has lived in seven countries on four continents, and has his MBA, LEED-AP, LCA Manager Certificate, and was trained with the Natural Step USA and Wilderness Stewardship Program. He wrote the book “Stress-Free Sustainability” to help passionate people overcome the exhaustion of advocacy.
