Christina Theodoridi

Christina Theodoridi advocates for climate policies that reduce emissions from air-conditioning and refrigeration, fluorinated chemicals (HFCs, CFCs), and industrial processes. She contributes to federal legislative and regulatory efforts to phase down climate super-polluting refrigerants (HFCs), as well as policies to decarbonize heavy industry. Theodoridi led NRDC's 2-year campaign that helped establish climate policies on refrigeration and air-conditioning in ten states across the U.S. At the international level, she served as a Montreal Protocol task force member, where her modeling analysis helped determine the source and size of a potential breach of the treaty's requirements. Before joining NRDC in 2018, Theodoridi completed her master's thesis on advanced catalytic materials at the French Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) in Lyon, France, and briefly roamed around the international airport in Athens, Greece as part of their environmental services department. Theodoridi holds a master's in chemical engineering from her home country of Greece and an M.P.A. in environmental science and policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She is based in Washington, D.C.
