David Keefer

David Keefer joined Shell Energy in 2018 to lead the development and launch of its behind-the-meter platform. He currently leads the energy solutions team, which focuses on developing tailored energy solutions to help businesses reduce carbon emissions, control costs, build resilience and increase operational efficiencies to optimize energy usage. Prior to joining Shell Energy, David helped spearhead General Electric’s launch into the distributed energy sector as CMO of GE Distributed Power and he also served as managing director of Investment Strategy in GE Capital’s energy infrastructure division focusing on large energy projects across the global energy landscape. David also held senior global roles in energy strategy at McKinsey & Co., Atlantic Richfield and Louis Dreyfus Energy. David holds a MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management.
