Douglas McCauley

Professor
University of California, Santa Barbara

Douglas McCauley is a professor of marine biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in the Ocean Sciences. He began his career on the ocean working as a fisherman in the Port of Los Angeles. His research focuses on leveraging the power of new data sources to help steer us towards a future ocean that meets goals for marine biodiversity and people.
