Ebun Ayandale is an associate at RMI’s New York Office. She is a part of the Africa Energy program, which works to accelerate affordable, reliable, and clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa by working closely with governments to develop robust and integrated national electrification strategies spanning on-grid and off-grid solutions.
Since joining RMI, her work has primarily focused on supporting rural electrification strategies and productive use of electricity in Nigeria through a whole systems approach. She supports these efforts through techno-economic modeling of minigrid systems, market research and project implementation.
Before joining RMI, she worked with the energy efficiency team at Eversource Energy to identify energy savings opportunities and support strategies to reduce building energy loads. Ebun also worked with the city of Boston to analyze Boston’s Building Energy Reporting and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO) data to help inform policy actions that encourage the reduction of building energy usage. She received a master’s degree in energy systems from Northeastern University which focused on the integration of energy systems design, financial planning and policy implementation.
