Fahmida Bangert
Fahmida Bangert leverages 20 years of sustainability design and implementation experience in high tech, higher education and healthcare sustainability, corporate social responsibility and ESG in her work for enterprise-level decarbonization. As senior director and head of ESG for Intuitive, she oversaw sustainability strategy, decarbonization, reporting, regulatory compliance, and the environmental management system. Prior to Intuitive, Fahmida served as a VP of Sustainability at ITRenew, a circularity company for global data centers, acquired by Iron Mountain. Fahmida founded and directed Stanford University’s Office of Sustainability programs for infrastructure planning, resource efficiency, assessments, reporting, business digitization, individual engagement, and research integration to foster ‘university as a living lab.’ Before Stanford, she was the founding director of sustainability at UC Berkeley. Fahmida earned a B.A. from Smith College, Master’s from UC, Santa Barbara. She is a recipient of the 2022 Women in Sustainability Leadership Award (WSLA) and a lecturer at Stanford University.
