Filippo Sebastio contributes to BSR’s HERfinance Wage Digitization Program in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Indonesia. He works with companies, factories and local community organizations to improve workers’ knowledge of and access to financial tools.Prior to BSR, he worked as country economist at the International Growth Centre (IGC), managing the Bangladesh research program and providing the local government with evidence-based economic advisory services. Before IGC, Sebastio was a research associate at Innovations for Poverty Action, where he evaluated the impact of vocational training on female line operators’ career performances in the ready-made garment sector in Dhaka.He holds a M.Sc. in International Trade, Finance and Development from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, as well as an M.Sc. and B.A. in Development Studies from the Universita’degli Studi di Bologna (University of Bologna).
