Heather Loebner leads Sustainability and ESG strategy at CircleIT. CircleIT is a B Corporation in the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) industry, playing a critical role at end of life for IT devices, repurposing them in the circular economy. She leads internal and client facing ESG strategy, with a focus on increasing transparency, establishing and achieving carbon net zero goals, and building social and environmental impact aligned with B Corporate Certification. Prior to her role at CircleIT, Heather held a number of leadership roles in nonprofit and corporate. Most recently she was executive director, Palisades Parks Conservancy, where she implemented the organizations first strategic plan, delivered transformational partnerships that increased impact for millions of the park’s visitors and supported historical and cultural resources. Prior to the Conservancy, Heather served as executive director, ArcelorMittal USA Foundation and led ESG/Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability for the Americas, ArcelorMittal, which encompassed more than 50 steel production and mining facilities, and about 40,000 employees. She served on the global CR team and developed the company’s first global policies for more than 300,000 employees driving strategic delivery of water, human rights, responsible sourcing achievements. She conceived a stakeholder engagement process that aligned core business opportunities with stakeholder priorities, developed the company’s first reporting framework and drove supply chain management strategy, while guiding the USA company to five consecutive Energy Star Partner of the Year awards. She conceived and directed an award-winning bi-national public-private partnership, Sustain Our Great Lakes, that achieved $64 million in on-the-ground conservation impact. Among her corporate roles, she led business group philanthropy at HSBC North America where she launched employee engagement, educational scholarships and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) strategies. Heather generated millions of dollars in sales opportunity at PricewaterhouseCoopers through healthcare thought leadership initiatives, business, marketing and communications strategy. Heather has served on the Council on Foundations Advisor Network and Corporate Committee, the Blue Green Alliance’s Corporate Council, and co-founded a sustainability working group accelerating Chicago’s climate action plan. Heather is a frequent conference speaker, to include Ethical Corporation, the Conference Board, and Interbrands Corporate Citizenship program hosted at Harvard, on such topics as environmental stewardship, governance models, and social impact partnerships. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in business, emphasis in marketing from St. Louis University and a master's degree in political science from University of Illinois.
