Janet Peace

As Senior Advisor on Policy and founding Co-Chair of the Business Alliance for Climate Action (BACA), Janet is responsible for identifying, assessing and advocating for climate policy that helps the carbon market scale and address climate change.  Janet has a wide spectrum of experience on environmental issues and prior to her current role, she led consulting and policy (domestic and EU) at Anew Climate and was part of a three-person management team for the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (formerly the Pew Center on Global Climate Change).  At C2ES/Pew she led research and engagement on domestic policy, advocacy on global environmental markets (e.g., carbon pricing) as well as corporate partnerships.  Janet was a founding member of the Offsets Quality Initiative – an early NGO led effort to identify key attributes essential for quality carbon credits.
