Jason Mathers works with some of the world’s largest companies to reduce supply chain emissions and to foster support for critical climate policies. Under his leadership, EDF partnered with numerous freight shippers to implement strategies that increase carbon efficiency in freight transportation. Jason authored The Green Freight Handbook to share the learnings from these partnerships. Jason has spearheaded several successful efforts organizing leading companies in support of climate action, including on the Clean Power Plan and the Clean Car Standards. He guided EDF’s effort to galvanized public support from leading trucking fleets and freight shippers for heavy truck greenhouse gas emission standards. Jason has a graduate degree in economics from Suffolk University. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
