Jessica Heiges

Jessica Heiges has an extensive background as both a researcher and practitioner in analyzing and aiding sustainable and just transition to waste-free systems. She co-led making Chou Hall (UC Berkeley) the first TRUE Zero Waste academic building in the world; co-founded Dispatch Goods, a reusable food container service provider that continues to eliminate single-use disposable foodware; collaborated with the Navajo Nation to identify infrastructure and policy needs to improve their waste management services; and published four peer-reviewed articles, four short-form articles, and one dissertation.
