Jordy Lee

Jordy Lee is a program manager at the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines. Since graduating from the School of Mines, he has focused his research on supply chain transparency, critical mineral policy, oil and gas regulation, and the mineral foundations of the energy transition. As an alumnus, he has been able to work with various members of the Mining Engineering Department at the School of Mines to progress policy efforts surrounding international mining development. He has authored numerous academic papers examining the future material needs and ESG considerations of the energy transition, while also helping to advance the narrative surrounding the future use of fossil fuels. He has also helped to establish the Coalition on Materials Emissions Transparency (COMET), which is working to develop a comprehensive framework for supply chain security and emissions accounting, and the Payne Scholars Program at the Colorado School of Mines.
